Rapid tournaments in a single day 4

Rapid chess fits a whole tournament into one day, and around Stuttgart it belongs to the summer and early autumn. SC Leinfelden plays its Biergarten-Schnellschachturnier in July, a summer open with a long run of editions whose results FIDE rates; the club now calls it its summer rapid tournament. In Freiberg am Neckar the Silbercup, a rapid open with a FIDE-rated edition in 2025, drew 66 players on a Sunday in September 2026.

The open Baden-Württemberg school cup of Schachfreunde Deizisau brings school teams from across the state to a festival tent in Deizisau each July, with registration in advance. At the start of October the Remstal-Open of Schachclub Grunbach in the Bürgerhaus of Grunbach, Remshalden, draws players from clubs across Württemberg and beyond. Many clubs play rapid on their own evenings as well, as their entries show.
