Clubs that play on Wednesday 4

Wednesday belongs to a few larger clubs in the towns around the city. Schachgemeinschaft Ludwigsburg 1919 holds its club evening with training and blitz on Wednesdays, with youth training before it and again on Thursday, and VfL Sindelfingen meets at the Badezentrum, where pupils and juniors train earlier in the evening and a blitz tournament comes round once a month.

In Schorndorf the Schachunion uses the Karl-Wahl-Begegnungsstätte of the AWO, first for youth training and then for a long adults' evening. Schachverein Dicker Turm Esslingen keeps Wednesday for its children and juniors, who train at the Trödler on the Esslinger Burg, during the school holidays as well, though not on public holidays; the club calendar adds league fixtures and rounds of the Esslingen city championship.
