Schachverein Herrenberg runs beginners' courses for children on winter Saturdays at the Klosterhof, together with the Hector children's academy, and the Schach-Pinguine of Sulzbach an der Murr call their Friday youth training suitable for beginners of every age. Schachverein Schwaikheim has offered a course for parents and grandparents, and members of the University of Hohenheim can sign up for the beginners' courses of its sports programme.
